鑑於虐畜案時有發生，加上旺角區近月出現虐貓狂徒，接二連三將小貓的四肢折斷，愛護動物協會已懸紅一萬元緝拿該兇徒。
另外，由愛護動物人士組成的「1.08行動小組」，為促請政府嚴懲動物殺手，及引起公眾關注事件的嚴重性，發起於 2006 年 1 月 8 日在中環舉行尊重生命及反虐殺動物大遊行。
遊行安排（Arrangement）：
日期及時間：2006年1月8日 下午2時
集合地點：中環遮打花園
遊行路線：由遮打花園遊行至政府總部
Date & Time : 8 Jan 2006 2pm
Assembly Point : Chater Garden, Central
Route : March from Chater Garden to Central Government Office
遊行目的 （Aims of the March）：
1. 要求政府有關部門徹查此事，並將犯案者繩之以法。
2. 促請政府加強立法，保障動物權益。
3. 引起社會關注一連串動物被虐待及殘殺的事件。
1. To demand thorough investigation by relevant departments to arrest the culprit.
2. To urge Government to increase penalty to protect animal rights.
3. To arouse public concern on the series of animal abuse and brutality cases.
注意事項 （Points for Attentions）：
1. 請穿著黑色或紅色衣物到場。
2. 如攜帶動物到場，請替動物繫好繩索及按漁農處頒佈之指引及規定看管動物。
3. 請清理寵物的排泄物。
4. 請帶備足夠糧水。

2. If you bring your pets along, please keep them leashed according to the guidelines and regulations of the AFCD.
3. Please clean up after your pets.
4. Please prepare enough food and water for your pets.
